Als divorce attorney

Guest
Just thought I'd introduce myself to everyone here.

I was downloading episodes of Enterprise just to catch up with the current season since I didn't have UPN where I live (Canada) when it started a couple of years ago. Anyway I do now and I have watched all of them to get up to date.

That left a bit of a void and so I started to get interested in Quantum Leap again. I started downloading entire seasons and while I was doing that I searched and found various QL fan sites. I had no idea the following was as large as it seems to be. I hadn't even heard of protests at NBC studios when the "idiots" decided to cancel the show until I read about it just recently.

When I heard about a possible reunion movie and maybe a possible series renewal, if you will, I really got excited again. Watching those episodes again reminded me how special this show was. It was a really well written show with very imaginative stories. It's amazing how we could go from a time on TV with shows like QL to a time where all we see are so-called "reality" shows that aren't close to reality at all.

Anyway, no disrespect to Enterprise, but if it doesn't get renewed I hope Mr. Bakula and Mr. Stockwell return to Project Quantum Leap so Sam can continue to strive to put right what once went wrong.

Al's divorce attorney, huh? Cute...

Well, welcome to the board! If you're gonna surf the web for QL-related stuff, this is definitely the place to go. I've been around for quite a while now, and I STILL don't think I've discovered everything on this site yet. On top of that, so many of us either write fanfiction or have other websites devoted to the show, so there's definitely a lot you can find if you look around:

The Virtual Seasons, The Quantum Leap Radio Files, video interviews... and, of course, there's always the rumors of the new Sci-Fi Channel movie Quantum Leap: A Bold Leap Forward, so yeah, we do our best to keep the show alive. Hey, it worked for Star Trek... ;)

Hope you stick around and chat some more! :)

re:

sup youve definetly found the best quantum leap site in als-place everyone so friendly and helpful espically when you not quite got what an eposode is about and they kind enuff to explain it :hurray although i seem to not be very good wit punctuation which gets picked up on eh bartender:sup keep it surreal:leap

Welcome

Great to have another new member of the QL family here at Al's Place, definitely THE place to be!
Hope you will enjoy it here as much as I do.

Re: Welcome

Welcome to the board, A.D.A.! (Wait.. that spells Ada... can we call you Ada? :b )

What part of Canada do you live in? I'm in Southwestern Ontario and can watch "Enterprise" on UPN (WUTV from Ohio) and on Citytv (Toronto), which has a much better feed.

It's great to have another member aboard the board. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay (you don't have a choice: you may never leave! :evil ).

... Mike. ^_^

Thanks for the warm welcomes. It's nice to be here and meet so many QL fans. I really had no idea it had such a huge following. If only we had this medium when NBC :wacko choked the life out of it. We couldn't stop it from leaving back then but it sure looks like the will of the people is strong enough to bring it back. Great site. Lots of info to read. I think I'm gonna be here awhile. :sup

As for the nick, I guess I could have used another one considering what happened in the last episode but then again I never fully believed that it was the last so Al may still need an attorney yet. :lol My real name is Chris. Maybe I'll change it to that.

Mike, I live in Montreal. It's split East and West for cable distribution. I live in the French section so I never had those channels. I have Star Choice now though so It doesn't matter anymore. I can see Enterprise on Wednesdays from 7 to 8, 8 to 9 (on 2 stations) 9 to 10 and 11 to 12 (on 3 stations) and Sundays on Space form 8 to 9.

Off into the Quantum Leap accelerator I go.
And then....................................
I vanished!

I love your screenname, Chris! And, hey, mine is pre-Mirror Image as well, but I've used it for, gosh, about 4 years now! (wow! hadn't realized how long it's been) I think yours is great.

Welcome to the family!

Joy

Way to go!!! Another new member that's found Quantum Leap again.

Just hope you don't get as insane as the rest of us, we're all looney toons here :nut so if you're as nutty about QL as the rest of us, then you've found the right place, "Al's Place"

Hello again Chris,

I just wanted to say something about what you just said:

:hair :hair :hair :hair :hair

What???? You live in MONTREAL?????? SO DO I!!!!!!!!!

Whoa, this is unreal, far out, awesome, anything you wanna call it, it's great!!!

I actually never thought I would ever meet someone that lived as near as that, and even less here, on this Quantum Leap message board. I cannot beleive how this is possible, I am still shocked by the revelation.

**Is speechless (and to say that I'm speechless is saying a lot, since I'm the biggest talker you could ever know)**

Well, this is so cool, I think we could talk around on MSN or ICQ if you have it. My info is on my profile.

Well, hope to hear from you more,

Clara

easy Brian! LOL!

WELCOME Attorney... you must have gotten your kids through college with as many divorces Al went through... of course, now that Sam's changed all that, you're out of a major client!

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

This is definetly the pinnacle of Quantum Leap communities so you're sure to have fun!

My name is Chris too by the way:wavey I also am a new member, I joined a month ago and the people have been oh so kind:lol

Being from Australia (where QL was never big until cable TV) and a little younger at the time I also had no clue how popular Quantum Leap was until I got the internet and read up in the show's history. I was shocked at the impact it had and how the fandom was so intense that it repeatedly saved the show from the axe when other shows would have been left in the dirt.

It was a great surprise to find that a show I had discovered and became hooked on all by myself actually turned out to be quite the cult phenomenon of it's time with an always evolving fan base ten years on!!!

Welcome...

**Hands Al's divorce attorney a cool handlink**

By the way I will do this when someone will say they are new! You have to prove it though

Re: Welcome...

Thank you Joy. I like your screen name too. Very appropriate. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif" />

Sue, when it comes to my favorite shows I become insane. Without insanity once in awhile we'd all go crazy! <img border=0 src="http://www.binaryrhyme.com/ubbicons/nut.gif" />

Clara, you're kidding, right? That IS awesome. I didn't think anyone in this city cared about past TV shows. At least not the ones that I did. I don't have ICQ but I do have MSN and Yahoo. Go figure, Montreal. Who would have guessed that?

Ah Brian, I had good English teachers <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif" />
and I use spell check. lol

Thanks Matt. Great to meet so many other fans. Yeah maybe I should sue Dr. Beckett. <img border=0 src="http://www.binaryrhyme.com/ubbicons/banghead.gif" />

Funny. I can never seem to go too far without meeting another Chris somewhere. We are just too damn popular. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/roll.gif" />

%%WORD101%, thanks for the hand-link. I'll use it to ask Ziggy what the chances are of QL returning in some form or another.
