Status of an alumni member (Don't worry, nothing serious)

Ok, I've known for about 3 weeks now and haven't said anything because I thought she might be able to find some time to post it herself, but she e-mailed me today saying I could tell all of you, so here we go...

Many of you may have noticed that Andrea (Yoshihira) has been AWOL again. Some of you like MJ and Gelf already know, but most do not: she is suffering from a broken leg and has been in and out of the hospital. It's not serious, she's just in a cast. However, it's the result of yet another car accident. (That's now 3 people from this site involved in car accidents in just a few months; what the heck is going on lately?) Apparently, (in her own words) "a drunk driver was playing bumper cars on the road and decided to make her the bumper." :)) Heh heh, same old Andrea) Suffice it to say, she's doing just fine. The accident has not destroyed her spirit in the least and she should be back up and about in no time.

I'm sorry I didn't mention anything earlier, but I wasn't sure she wanted everyone to know yet. I don't want people to think I'm intentionally keeping certain things secret from them. When I find out more, I'll let everyone know (unless she manages to make it to the chat Sunday which I told her about the other day). :)

Again, please don't be alarmed. She's doing fine, just her leg is hurting for a few more weeks. Nothing life-threatening. Get well soon, hun! ^_^

Nobody cares about people knowing this or knowing that. What would have been mildly irritating would have been you coming on and flapping your gums every couple of posts yakking on about how you knew a secret, but couldnt tell anybody, and trying to make people guess, so be cool dude! You're a good guy.

I hope she gets better! I'll be praying for her.

On a side note, I just gotta say, man, what a strange year... Not only is that 3 people from this board involved in a vehicular accident, but my sister drove my friend's car into a ditch last weekend (and my sis is not licensed--nor has a permit--to drive yet). Gave my friend a sprained hand.

Other strange bad stuff has been happening to my friends and family the last few weeks... It's getting to be quite scary.

It does seem strange that quite a sizable number from this board have been involved in car accidents, which resulted in them breaking their legs and so-fore. As far as I can remember, wasn't this around the same time some new member came in and stuttered the words "B**gieman"? Hmmm... are you referring to little old me, Dermy? As Sam would say:

I saw it a while ago, it's on the flash episode guide's banner, completly written.

Speaking of which, i've had my share of very bad luck lately.

I go outside to do some chores in the morning, I get attacked by a wasp on my left arm.

Later in the afternoon I have to mow the lawn... spot a wasp. While i'm backing away trying to avoid the wasp a yellowjacket lands on the back of my neck and starts stinging repeatedly until a friend that was with me manages to kill it.

Later my friend accidently knocks my soda over in my room, getting it all over the carpet.

A day before all of that bad luck, someone close to the family had their sister pass away.

Oh, and before when Quantum leap was on, my sister ( She has Down syndrome) managed to break the VCR trying to get a tape in. :helpme

I can think of no other explanation then the curse.

The curse continues... i've having a friend I haven't seen for ages come over to the house to fool aroud. As soon as we get in the car to go pick him up, we have a large thunderstorm... no computer or hanging outside for us.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune, Andrea!! It was great to see you at the chat on Sunday, tho'. ^_^

It is strange that three people that frequent this board have been in car accidents this year... I had a little mishap back in January, but nothing serious. (Damn snow...)

Annnnyway, just glad that we're all safe and sound.

Talking about car accidents, does losing one count? :wacko

My daughter's husband parked the car and it took him over 2 hours to remember where he's parked it. I was in stitches laughing, I can just Imagine my daughter cussing him. She's got no patience what so ever. 8o

Perhaps this was the kill or cure I needed to rid me of that dreadful virus I contracted early Sunday, it certainly raised my spirits.

Anyway, here's to you Andrea and I hope it doesn't itch too much :bs
