Re: RE: The ABCs of bartender Al!

"H" is for How can he have told Sam he could never go Home??? (

I know he didn't say that exactly, but that's what he meant...)

Clara

"I" is for Iron City, one of the three brands of beer the Al the bartender told Sam he had in bottles.

(In case you might be wondering, Duquense and Ft. Pitt were the other two brands)

Re: RE: The ABCs of bartender Al!

"J" is for the jackpot that Sam didn't get.

"K" is for (Ralph) Kiner who was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Chicago Cubs...a fact mentioned by Al the bartender when Sam was reading the sports section of the paper to learn what the date was.

Eleiece

"M" is for the mirror behind the bar in Al's Place in which Al the bartender allowed Sam to, at long last, see his own face.

Re: RE: The ABCs of bartender Al!

"O" is for the organizational skills that Sam possesses.

Re: RE: The ABCs of bartender Al!

'Q' is for the quandary that Sam faces -- to go home or to save Al's marriage.

Re: RE: The ABCs of bartender Al!

R is for the riddles the bartender gives Sam, instead of the answers he seeks.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread seeing that the last post was in April.

"U" is for Underground, where the miners had to go to save Tonchi and Pete.

Well, this is a tough one, so to keep this going I'll try and tackle it.

"X" is metaphoric for the bar and its occupants being the "opposite" of reality.

Hmm...does that work? :lol
