The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES --
Donald P. Bellisario, who created the television hits "Magnum, P.I.,"
"Quantum Leap," and "JAG," took his own leap Tuesday when his name
joined more than 2,000 others on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bellisario's star was unveiled on Hollywood Boulevard before a crowd of
about 400 people, including cast and crew members from "JAG" and "Navy
NCIS," which were being filmed blocks away.

Scott Bakula, who starred in the Emmy-winning science fiction series
"Quantum Leap," joked about his work with Bellisario, who has been
working on TV shows for 30 years.

"The other day there was a 'Quantum Leap' marathon on television
somewhere," Bakula said. "My 8-year-old blurted out, 'did you ever get
to meet God?' I responded, saying, 'meet him, I worked with him for 4
1/2 years! !'"

Bellisario,68, thanked everyone in attendance.

"To all of the people who came today, I'm giving you a reprieve, you
won't have to come to the memorial service! It will be in 25 years," he
said.

Bellisario's series' have garnered more than 50 Emmy nominations and
"Quantum Leap" won six. He produced over 600 hours of television.

Many congratulations on a long overdue star on the Walk of Fame, Don!

Really, Really cool!

Don is really deserving of this! I wonder if they did or will show any of the ceremony on any of the entertainment news shows? I also wonder if there are any pictures online? I know Dean has a star, has Scott gotten one yet?

Re: Really, Really cool!

Scott does not have a walk of fame star.

Maybe we should try to get him one! I have an application for putting someone on the walk of fame. It costs $15,000 for the entire ceremony.

What do you all think? Can it be done? They did it for Dean years ago through recycling efforts. Thoughts? Ideas?!

Re: Really, Really cool!

On wireimage.com there are pictures of the ceremony. Yes, I think we should try to get Scott a star. With the DVDs coming out and the development of the new series this is the perfect time.
