Feedback???

Just a question...

Has anyone READ this? One of the most precious things author's can get is feedback on their story...

Did you like it? Hate it? Laugh? Cry? Didn't care? JUST TELL US!

Just to give a little history behind HOW this story came about. Last October, Kat and I went on a QL Research trip down through NM. We visited the Trinity Bomb site (only open to the public twice a year...1st Saturdays in Oct and April.) We were in Taos, Sante Fe, Soccoro. We visited a lot of stuff on those 4 days (and add to that I go down to NM regularly and have actually been to a lot of the places mentioned.)

So...this story took "seeds" of reality that we embellished wildly and also inserts things pretty much as they happened (and there is a sprinkling of a few things that happened 'sort of' but not on this trip.) There's also some completely made up stuff as well.

For instance...there is actually a town by the name of San Antonio, NM that has two restaurants...the Owl Tavern and the Buckhorn Bar & Grill and both fight it out as to who has the best GreenChili Cheese Burgers in NM.

(this one prefers the Owl)

(this one the Buckhorn)

We ate at both of them. I prefer the Buckhorn. Kat liked the Owl.

These are the pictures I took of the rainbow. They do not do what we saw justice. It was truly a miraculous moment. Even better than meeting Scott.

So...again...if you read the story...PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT...even if it's to say..."Geez...why did you both waste your time writing it?"

First of all - glorious pictures!

I finished reading this earlier today. Sorry not to have posted a comment but events sorta overtook me (see Off Topic thread).

It was an interesting concept, and you guys obviously had fun playing with it.
Poor Sam and Al.

I love the line

"Oh, this looks... interesting," when Al sees their hotel. Yes, I for one picked up on the La Mancha reference there!

I must say I wonder what it is with us writers and maiming our heroes :lol- this must be about the fifth time I've read that Al

has lost his spleen

Thank you Helen. We truly appreciate your feedback.:hurray:

Would like other feedback as well...I guess it's just not gonna happen. :cry

Helen, you know how much I enjoyed this. Thanks to the both of you for writing it.

As far as feedback, I've found that that's something that's sorely lacking of late. As a fellow writer, I can commiserate with you on the lack of it. It's tough when you really pour your heart and soul into something and don't get anything in response. Even a constructive piece of feedback is certainly welcome because then you know that at least someone's read what you wrote and that it hasn't just gone out into some vacuum somewhere. Of course, even more disheartening is when you see the stats on a story and see just how many people have followed through to the end but don't to have the wherewithal at the end to leave just a few words indicating that they've read the story.

Good story. It was kind of funny to see them argue like that over little things that shouldn't matter. It made me laugh quite a bit. You really showed the bond between the two very clearly, even when they were mad at each other. The only thing I would complain about is there wasn't a whole lot of depth around things in between when Sam and Al were interacting with each other. It just seemed like you were trying to blast through those areas so you could get back to them interacting with each other. All in all though a really good story. I will suggest this to others and hopefully get you some more feedback.

Thank you!

Great to get feedback! Thank you.

I'm glad you liked the interactive parts between Sam and Al. With Ziggy causing a bit of mental irritation, it was fun to play with. Taking the guys a bit out of character (for a logical reasons, of course) was a blast.

I know we didn't spend near as much time with the in-between introduced characters development. Part of that was that the story would have been significantly longer and in fanfict, so much of the draw is the characters of the show. It's possible we may revisit some of these characters in the future...then again...it's possible they showed up here and will never be seen again. We're glad you liked them, though.

Again...thanks for the feedback. You're an :angel.
