Sam leaps into Veronica LaTuffe, a high-profile porn actress with a life partner who has a tendency towards violent jealousy. While trying to cope with being a porn star and a lesbian, Sam learns from Al and Ziggy that he has two goals for his leap: prevent a seventeen-year-old girl from making a career mistake, and prevent Veronica from dying in a plane crash?a crash in which her body is never found.

Maybe I've come to expect too much from three well-known, talented and respected Leapfic authors, but the truth is I didn't find this story very exciting. After the initial laugh brought up by the character's name ("Touffe" being French slang for "female pubic hair", which is indeed quite suitable for a porn actress...) I did not find the usual excitement, suspense, nail-biting emotions I generally feel when reading my weekly story. But I've never been fond of vampire stuff anyway (and this includes the relevant QL TV ep.)

Well... I liked how it started. It seemed to go off into a wild tangent near the end though. Although I think I'm the only person that actually liked the original vampire episode "Blood Moon," I felt this story would have been better without the vampire stuff at the end. I think having Sam there to save the teenage girl from a life of degradation and adult entertainment was enough to make a good story.

I rated it a 3. It was worth reading, but it got very confusing toward the end. It seemed as if Lara was turning on Veronica(Sam). But why would she do that to the woman that she loves? I know that it was said that Lara did, does, and always will love Veronica but why did it seem like she was turning on her? I loved the length of the story and it really held me all the way through!
Thanks for not making me rate this story a 1, for any ep like that just wouldn't be Quantum Leap.:)

P.S. What is going to be "Next on Quantum Leap"? In other words, you know at the end of any show there are scenes from the next episode. Actually, I mean the teaser.
 
Um... the Epilogue is usually the Prologue for the next story. In this case, it's where Sam finds himself standing in a cemetery looking at the headstone, and the other guy tells Sam that he shot the person buried there. According to the schedule, it's the prologue to "A Leap for the Truth" another episode written by AJ. And MJ is the writer for the next one after that ("A Time to Remember"), which I can tell you already will be a very personal and emotional story of hers. :)

And then in December will be Sue again ("Eeny Meany Miny Mo"), then Helen ("Where the Buck Stops"), then MJ, AJ, and another new writer ("To Say Goodbye").

And then in January is MY 2-parter/movie ("Second Genesis"), which will, um... be interesting, to say the least. With that said, I'd better get writing... I'm still not done yet! Yikes! :eek
 
Yes, but I must tell you guys something..........

This might all change. Depends on if some people can either cut their stories down... or go for the long winded style... either or... ;)

The main thing is that we may have more episodes pushed in.

Kat, Eleiece, and MJ have written a seemless story here, but like some of the other people who have commented, I was confused at the end. I would have liked to know what happened with Deborah, and the sudden cut to the airplane scene kind of threw me off.

It was a good story, but like I said, the sudden change made it feel like two separate storylines, and the vampire scene came in all of a sudden, too.

Nice for Hallowe'en, tho'!
