Another "good" episode and at least one dangling mystery has been cleared up. Magic has the hots for Al's widow. The fact that she was a nurse lieutenant at the same time he was a second class radioman would likely make her at least five years older than him. They would both be mid to late seventies. Plausible, I guess.

It's a good ep that feels like Quantum Leap. It has powerful connective tissue to the original series, you can tell that parts of the story were personal to many people involved.

This was Ben's episode and Magic's and it was good.

It's a mostly well written, well directed, and well acted story with both action and heart.

The only issue is that all this stuff with Magic took place during the missing three years. I mean I get that its a parallel to Al's story but I would have made a few subtle changes to the lines and had him in meetings *with* Al.

And then he is hit with the double-whammy of losing Ben/feeling he failed Sam, and retirement.

Its a subtle change but one that plays better - otherwise its like walking into the third act of a play when you are already dealing with the fallout. IMO.
