  Well, seeing that this is my first Quantum Leap story ever, I hope that I
am able to pull it off well enough to open the way for future stories to
come. First of all, I'd like to apologize if any of the terminology in the
story proves incorrect; I've never worked in a hospital so I might mix up
precedures (or invent ones that are nonexistent). Second, yes, I know my
grammer needs a little improving, so I hope you'll ignore any mistakes you
come across until the end of the story. Despite massive rewriting and proof
reading, there may be a few big errors still lurking around. Any
*constructive* comments on this area are always welcome.

        Anyway, there is a reference to a leap that I have not had a chance
to write yet. Hopefully, this will not prove to be a big stumbling block in
the story, but if you really need all the details, please feel free to
e-mail me. Also, I assume that Sam started leaping in 1996 and the story is
set two years after Sam's "Mirror Image" leap.

        Just as a little side note (I realize that this is getting quite
long) I wrote this story while listening to Enya's "Anywhere Is". Does
anyone else think that lyrics are a perfect synopsis of Sam's situation?

        I appreciate any helpful commentary that you have on my little
creation.
