So you want to know about
me, huh? *chuckle* Why? I'm not all that interesting, really. Well, since you're still
reading I guess I should tell you something about myself. *grin*
I live in Canada and I have
two kids and four cats. I like Quantum Leap, Doctor Who, writing, acting, sound mixing,
science fiction/fantasy, anime, books, and movies.
Still not enough? *sigh*
Honestly! Some people are never satisfied! *chuckle*
I've been writing for...
well.... forever it seems. I can't really remember a time I haven't written... except for
maybe when my computer is down. *smirk* I've had several short stories published and have
been writing fan fiction for almost eight years now. Other than the radio play, I'm
currently working on two novels that I am hoping to get published.
I grew up in Toronto,
Ontario, Canada and is where I currently reside. I was involved in Drama in high school
and even had my own band for a few years that recorded several demo songs. I was one of
the lead singers. *chuckle* After my children were born, life in the spotlight took second
place to motherhood. But I never lost my creative edge and I bought myself a typewriter.
*sigh* Yes children, a
typewriter.... a manual typewriter.
After destroying several
ribbons and sheaves of paper, I wrote my first short story.... that turned into a
novel.... that's still taking up space in a box somewhere. *laugh* But I learned from my
mistakes and the criticism that was given and I continued to write. When I got my first
computer, I transferred over and never touched another typewriter again. Then when I
finally had a system good enough to handle the internet... I discovered web design and fan
fiction.
After establishing
myself online as a very prolific fanfiction writer, I began to look for a more creative
and unique way of bringing my ideas to the world. Completely by accident, I discovered the
online voice acting community which led to me writing and producing my own radio plays.
Unforunately after two years of voice acting and producing, due to an extreme family
crisis, I had to take a hiatus from the voice acting community for about a year. Once I
returned online, I restarted QD Leap at the prompting of Brian Greene of Al's Place. When I went looking for other fan audios (that weren't anime based) I
discovered a plethora of sites which ultimately led me to BTR Productions.
My association with them
began as a simple 'fangirl meets her ultimate audio production' that has led to many
opportunities, both in the fan based audio business and the semi pro audio business, not
only for myself but also for Quantum Realities. This is something I sincerely hope will
last for a very long time and put both BTR and QRP on the map.
Ciao!
