As far as I know, Dean is not sick.

Apparently, Dean's a pretty good little league player:

Butera's Towing defeated Karma Salon, 41-6. Jason Rupczik had four home runs, and a triple. Derrick Harper had three home runs, a triple and double, and Rico Nary had five hits with a homer and double. Shawn Rupczik had four hits with two home runs, J.J. Matve had four hits with two doubles, Dean Stockwell had three hits with two doubles.
For Karma, Josh Babcock had two hits.
Jason Matve Sr. was the winning pitcher in both games.

Wonder if his parents are QL fans?

:D Aw, darn. I was hoping for a photo. Glad to hear he has hobbies to keep himself busy though.

On a more serious note, he said that he could not attend for personal reasons. I don't know what he's doing currently.

Actually Dean is an accomplished swimmer for the Claremont Masters Swimming Club in Western Australia.

The men’s 160-199 relay team (with an average age of over 40 years) won a Bronze medal in the freestyle relay with their team of Tom Stachewicz, Dean Stockwell, Anthony McDonald and John Bowden. http://www.claremontmasters.org/2008/05/fina-world-masters-media-release-and-relay-results

And in his spare time Dean Stockwell is the General Manager for Food Standards Aust & New Zealand. http://www.ausveg.com.au/assets/contentitems/public/1986/MediaReport071005.pdf

Suffice to say, Dean is one busy man and it's no wonder he couldn't make it to the con, I'm surprised he found the time to make a phone call!

I love this thread too! lol

I have a Google Alert set up for "Matt Dallas" because I'm a Kyle XY fan.
It's so funny - I get alerts for people named "Matt" on the Dallas Cowboys, some guy who's a spokesman for a wind-farm engineering firm, and a bunch of other random people who live/visit in Dallas.

This is legit.
Mr Stockwell will be appearing at the Dallas Comic Con, which is from August 15-16, 2009 in Richardson, TX. If anyone attends let us know how it went.

I'm close enough to drive there and make an overnight stay out of it. Unfortunately, I have prior plans for that weekend, in a city on the other side of Alabama. :(

It's tempting, but I promised two very good friends I'd be there to help them with their event, and I won't go back on my promise to them.

wow - you guys near dallas - grab the opportunity - and try to meet Dean Stockwell!

i hope that he comes back to the UK to do another convention.
