Your holidays

Did you go on holidays this year or will you go? Would you like to share your experiences? Perhaps show photos?

My husband and me will go on holidays to the spanish island Ibiza on 5th september. Only two weeks left and I become a bit excited gradually. But I'm looking forward to this trip.

My dream is to live on the greek islands someday........

Thank you, Ang! We went to greece two years ago. I liked it there, it was nice.

It's always good to have dreams. Perhaps one day it will become true. I sometimes think about living in Spain when I'm old.

For me I've got two days at the Renaissance Faire. The first day is just for me but the second I'm bringing a family friend along.

I usually get outtings about once a year or so.

I've been fortunate to go on four vacations since the summer began...not full week vacations, just long weekends. It's more than I usually go on, though. I took two trips to New York City, one Los Angeles and another to Wildwood, NJ (the shore).

I have photos from these trips on my Facebook page. I think these links should work to see them. I know there's a lot of separate links but I like to keep each day of the trip organized into it's own separate album. I know, a bit obsessive.

I took this trip specifically to see Scott in Guys and Dolls at The Hollywood Bowl. It was also my first trip out to Los Angeles. I found I'm not very fond of summer in California. *LOL*

I do have a couple more trips planned before the end of the year but their annual trips up to my Aunt Laura's in Maine (I'm in Massachusetts). We go up there every year for Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekend and another viist in October. While we're there we usually go for a ride along the Maine coast at least once and visit lighthouses and also to the White Mountains in New Hampshire to see the foliage.

If anyone's interested in my other vacation photography, I've been putting together a website with my photos. I haven't had a chance to work on it for a while. I think I need a week's vacation just to work to get it update. You can see it here: http://americanapics.com/

Many trips, Julia, great photos! Must have been awesome.

When I was a child I went to a sports event in a place here in Germany named Jork. I thought it was New York.

In just one hour by car to New York... would be fine if that would be possible.

Thanks. I was fortunate to take a number of trips this summer. The photos on my website cover a span of at least 10 years.

Hello, hello, I'm back from my holidays on Ibiza!

It was very nice. The weather was great, the hotel was nice and we saw many wonderful places like this one on the neighboor island Formentera.

Since saturday we're back home and - like always - the holidays were much to short.

To the island Formentera we went by a ferry and I still have some problems with my circulatory, I was a bit seasick. But I think that will become better the next days.

I've been very fortunate this year to have had 2 significant and fantastic holidays. My first one was to the States for 5 weeks and then my second one was to London for 2 weeks. Both times I managed to bump into Scott Bakula. I am currently on 2 weeks holidays again but not leaving the country this time, I am flying from Sydney to Brisbane for the day tomorrow to go to a theme park. Anyone know if Scott is going to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast tomorrow???

I spent the weekend at my aunt's in Maine and on Friday we took a ride through the White Mountains. We've taken a ride through the mountains during autumn for a couple of years now but this was probably the most beautiful I can remember seeing it. Snow had already fallen on Mt. Washington and it made a striking contrast with the autumn colors.

I don't think so Ang, I didn't see him at Dreamworld lol. Hopefully they send out some of the stars from The Informant for its Australian release in December, but I doubt it as it dosen't have that blockbuster hype.

Oh I'm still here

I'm helping out in a special school... just doing it for my gap year. It's with Lattitude global volunteering. Used to just be called 'Gap'. Who knows, I might stay after my placement ends!

I realised I posted 2 of the same pic, so I've edited it now

We won a costume competition (pirates - see the girl on the right). I'm wearing the t-shirt I won. We also won a case of 'Tribe' drinks and shared them (or had 'Taki' - very Fijian) at John's house - he's on the left.
