Children of Yesterday, Heirs of Tomorrow
September 25, 1953

Casa Verde, New Mexico

Sam leaps into a poor six-year-old in 1953 living near the future site of Project Quantum Leap. Anita and several of her friends mysteriously die over the next several weeks, of unknown causes. While Al is questioning whether the Project has really been accomplishing anything leaping through time, Sam finds himself constrained by the limits of a six-year-old child. During playtime with Anita's friends, Sam makes a tragic discovery that must be corrected to save the children, Project Quantum Leap personnel, and Al's faith.

I enjoyed reading this story, considering for one that this seemed to be the first leap that a foreign language was really prominant. Of course, I couldn't understand what they were saying at all unless there was a translation. Still, it was nice that Sam was able to accomplish what he did.
