I was only pint-sized when I first started watching Quantum Leap with my mother. For years until it was canceled, I watched the show with her; when it was in syndication, we'd sometimes catch the re-runs on USA Network.
It wasn't until last year, after Hurricane Katrina, that I rekindled my love of the show. Stuck in Baton Rouge at a new university with no friends, I was flicking through the channels searching for something to watch, and what did I find? Nothing other than Quantum Leap airing on the SciFi channel. Sad to say, but it managed to get me through some pretty rough times. I mean, who COULDN'T smile while watching Sam jam on the piano, dressed as Carmen Miranda?
I haven't stopped watching it ever since.
