This is my first Quantum Leap story, which will go on for so long, and I hope
you enjoy it.

			THE POWER OF LOVE
			-----------------
Chapter One
-----------

	As the blue light faded away, Sam looked around to identify his 
surrondings, he found himself running with what looked like a rugby ball
in his hands, he turned his head back and saw about three people running
after him, one of them jumped for his legs, and Sam found himself plunging 
forward, which then in preceeding a load of people jumped on top of him.
	"Oh Boy!"said Sam

	*	*	*	*	*	*	*	*	*

	After what felt like ten minutes, Sam heard a whistle blow, and all 
of the people on top of him, started to get off and walk down towards a 
buidling, Sam looked up, and he saw that they were all kids of about 15-16yrs
of age.  Sam started to walk in the same sort of direction the other boys were.
	After about a minute, Al appeared with a hearty grin on his face,
	"Whoa, you look like you've just been in a mudbath,"said Al
	"Well I feel like that I have, and where have you been Al?"said Sam who
was feeling quite annoyed.
	"I been celebrating my 36th anniversary with Beth,"said Al
	"Oh, well congratulations, now who am I, and why am I here Al?"
	"Okay, you are Phillip Benedict, and the date is September 15th 1994, 
and this is Derby in England,"
	"Yes, but why am I here, Al"said Sam, still feeling annoyed
	"Ah, we don't know that yet Sam, Ziggy's still working on it, but we'll
get back to you on it,"
	"Well you go and hurry Ziggy up,", and with that Al went off in his door
to the future.
	Sam walked into the changing room, and seeing he knew what his name was,
walked up to his locker, and opened it with the key on his shorts, he looked in
the mirror, which was on his locker door, and saw that he had leaped into a 
young kid of about 15yrs old, and that this kid Phillip was quite good looking.

	Sam had found out where he was supposed to go, after finding his 
timetable, just after the bell had gone for the end of his maths lesson, a boy 
came up from behind him and yelled at him.
	"Oy, Phillip, how you doing?"he yelled
	Sam turned around to see a boy about his age, come running up to him,
	"Oh, fine thanks,"said Sam
	Just then Al came back with a grim look on his face.
	"Oh, this is Chris Redwall, by the way, Sam,"said Al
	Al put on the expression that Sam registered that meant that he wanted
to talk.
	"Er, Chris, I think that I might just go to the toliet, wait here for 
me, okay,"said Sam
	Chris nodded yes, and Sam walked around to the toliet, and Al followed
him round.
	"So what am I here for Al,"said Sam when they were in the toliet.
	"Well you have to ask this girl out called Maria..." Al thumped the 
handlink, "...Astle, and...."
	"Well that's easy enough,"said Sam
	"But that's not all, you see you have to convince her father that you 
are worthy of being her boyfriend, as he won't let her go out with boys,"
	"So what happened in orignial history?"asked Sam
	"Well after her father stopped them, from going out, they started 
meeting in secret, but he found out, and her father, was keeping an eye on her
all the time, but the two of them couldn't bear to be apart for long, so they
commited sucide..."
	Sam looked horrified.

		END OF CHAPTER ONE
