It came upon a midnight clear that glorious song of old Oh sorry, I was just thinking of some of the Christmas songs as I thought about some of the best things that have happened over the last couple of years and it came to me that things are always looking better and brighter as the new year comes closer. Yes, there were some bad things this year, but I cant help but cast my eyes toward that horizon and look for the better things. For example, one of the things that has everyone in an obvious uproar is the problems with The Second Season of Quantum Leap on DVD. At first, I was somewhat up in the air on the topic; however, after watching / hearing (thank you, Brian) the music that they (Universal I hope) had put on the show, its a definite disappointment. What could possibly be seen as a shining better and brighter thing ahead you may ask? I see a few things. Number One:
Number Two:
Number Three:
Thats just a few of the things that we are lucky to have ahead of us. We have to keep looking at the brighter side of things. The more we look up and see the greatness around us the better things will be.
A Leap of A Different Note I dont know if everyone knew about this or not. This past month (around Thanksgiving), my husband was told that his job was moving him back to the same town that we had moved from a year ago. We packed up and we moved back. From Thanksgiving up until Dec. 17th, Id been traveling back and forth on the weekends to keep teaching until the end of the semester in San Angelo. I didnt tell the kids that I was teaching there that I was leaving until the last couple of days. It wasnt until a few days ago that I realized that I had done the exact same thing that Donald Bellasario had Sam Beckett do. I leaped into San Angelo last Christmas. Touched childrens lifes and their hearts and taught them what they needed to know. I even received a thank you / miss you letter from one of my students and it wasnt until I got this email that it really told me how much a teacher can touch a life. I know that I not only made an impact in her life, but in several other students. They even told me so on the last day of school. A person can make a difference and you dont have to be a Quantum Physicist to do it either. *Grin* It just takes four things: a heart, two arms, and a brain. So, from this heart in Texas to everyone everywhere Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
