The Rod describes what, to Him, makes a Great film and a true classic in the Rock n Roll corner.

On with the show…..

What Makes a Great Film?

The Rod is reasonably sure that the Quantum Leap feature will be a good film. Pondering recent good films has made Him contemplate just what makes a great film?

Ok, so anything featuring the following

• A Hot Tomali wandering around in a RodKini.
• Car chases
• Lots of action

These can qualify a good film with great scenes.

To give an idea of just what The Rod means by a Great Film, He has prepared a couple of examples:

The Matrix

From Dusk till Dawn

Now, out there in RodWorld, you Cats n Kittens are probably wondering what He means by tagging these 2 films with the "Great" tag.

To you, He says this:

The art of misdirection has sidetracked the viewer.

Allow Him to explain:

From Dusk till Dawn started life as a bank robber flick, and then from outta nowhere comes this awesome vampire flick. (Apologies to you dudes n Dudettes who have not watched this film)

The Matrix had a similar plot twist. It started out as a sort of good guy gets hooked up with terrorists kinda flick, with some weird occurrences, and then outta nowhere it’s the "Brain in a box" routine when Neo awakens in his pod.

Ok, there may be people out there who disagree (Hell, He hopes so, because if some of you don’t, he may have to quit His controversial nature!)

If DPB is gonna be boring, He will probably ignore this particular theme, and simply make a Sci Fi film. As He seems to be a Hot Rodder (well, a frequenter of Al’s Place anyway: http://www.great-tv-shows.com/quantum/main.html (Click on Fan Sites, although DPB may have forgotten to List RodVision as His reading demon, but thems the breaks)
