Cut Scenes: In the script, Rafaella originally asks "we got somebody extra for dinner?" when she enters. Evidently after filming someone felt the joke needed explaining more, as she's dubbed with "somebody called Al for dinner?" There's a little extra D&D-type speak when we meet Kevin's friends (explaining a little more how Al jumps to his conclusion'). The 'secular undercourse' line was 'get laid'. There's a goof as Al comes straight from school where Kevin is to warn Sam, who then shouts upstairs "kids, we're going out to eat!" - in the finished version he suggests he picks up Susan and Kevin to go eat. Jackie says that the Davenports play Bridge on Fridays (this would have been a goof, as the leap takes place on a Wednesday night). Jackie's guilt is emphasised in the stage directions earlier than the actress plays it. She plays seductive music by record rather than tape (presumably changed to tape to save time). Sam knows different skills (Judo, Karate, Sabat and Mui Tai). Al quickly leaves Sam so he can say goodbye to Teresa, and in his final scene with her they're discussing colour mixes rather than dinosaurs. The family are called the "Buckner''s throughout and Jackie's surname is Arnold. |
