"Blood Moon"

The first draft script, dated 3rd November 1992 (and with a leap date of March 12th 1975) has three key differences to the broadcast episode:

When Al disappears to research the Blood Moon, Sam then has a discussion with Horst, in which Sam learns that Horst's family has been serving his for hundreds of years.

The leapee prefers meat rare.

When Sam and Al enter the graveyard, they have a discussion essentially summarising the current situation in which Al gives a 99% chance that Sam is right about Drake, and Al shows his superstitious side some more.

They find the right tomb (and Al quotes again from Fang, that vampires possess the strength of ten men) before we return to the scene as broadcast, where Sam and Al talk about opening the casket.

Finally, the end is structured quite differently on TV, Sam has a quick talk with the detective and then says farewell to Alexandra.

In the script, Alexandra has already left and the detective explains she's decided to stay with them.

Al shares some extra information on Covington's future (he's going to waste away in his castle) and Sam checks his reflection in a car mirror.

When he whispers "Al?" Al asks "What?" - Sam pauses and says "Never mind..." before leaping.

Additionally, Sam has an extra monologue near the start wondering whether he'd leaped out of the country or, figuratively, to another planet.

Al describes Alexandra as a "young street prostitute" (onscreen, a "young homeless girl"). This plot point is later followed up when Alexandra says "when I left there I lived on the streets, selling myself to anybody who'd have me" (the line is cut short on screen, seeming to dodge details of her background).

Victor's line that Claudia is "quite... energetic" appears in the script as "quite capable of multiple satisfactions".

When Al first introduces his book, he defensively says of Fang "that's his real name" (beat) "OK, it's not his real name, but a lot of writers use an alias" - in the whole sequence Sam stays quite quiet, while Bakula jokes around at Fang's expense.

When Horst rescues Sam, Al says "Lucky thing. Vampira was about to turn you into an English muffin", and when Sam reaches to Claudia's mouth to check her teeth, he has to reassure himself - he's genuinely quite on edge here.
