"Leap of Faith"

Cut Scenes:

In the fourth version of the script, dated th July 1990, the groom is described as having "a pitiful attempt at growing a mustache."'

Sam's reflection is described as "a younger version of Lou Jacobi".

The funeral is not opened with an establishing shot of Father Mac starting his prayer but rather cuts straight to Joey.

Mrs. Dellisio's scream at Tony is "Lui ammazato il mio bambino!" (He murdered my baby!").

During Sam's opening monologue in the episode, a shot of Al from later on is dropped in: stood by the news vendor and starting to put his hand up to his cigar.  The shot is repeated later (in its intended position) after Mac asks "you coming inside, Frank?" As a result, Sam's scripted line to Al "I was starting to think you weren't going to show up" is dubbed in the finished episode with "I saw you earlier, where did you go?"

Soon after, Al says "he apparently murdered Father Mac to keep him from testifying", dubbed with the less certain "he probably killed Father Mac..."

Sam has a brief exchange with the bartender to locate Tony Pronti.

We learn that Frank's cab driver called Father Mac out of concern (in the episode, Mac follows Frank).

There are 206 men in the war photo Frank looks at (431 in the broadcast episode) and only nine survived.

The act break after Mac falls asleep from drinking takes place as Sam finds Joey in the church.

Sam's reference to Tina and the Project is missing.

Sam is running Frank's own confession service towards the end (in the episode he steps in for Father Mac), which starts with a brief interlude with the groom from the teaser confessing to cheating on his wife.

The act break occurs after Sam gets shot.

At the climax, Tony doesn't confess, but Joey arrives and says he witnessed the murder and will testify as long as Father Mac doesn't let Tony die.

Just before Sam leaps out we see Father Mac convincing Joey to go to confes- sion and make a fresh start.
