Longer Than Forever
Penned by Admiral Albert Calavicci late one night over a few glasses of whisky.

Longer than forever
Faster than a dream
It's always been this way
Or that's the way it seems

I can always find you
But you don't always stay
Leaping in and leaping out
A year, a week, a day

Time passes far too quickly
Yet time is standing still
You wait for me to come to you
And yes, I always will

But what would happen to you
If suddenly this thing
Would end, if I would go away?
Gone, my bit of string

I cannot leave you lonely
Without a link to home
I cannot leave you by yourself
Through time and space to roam

You call me in your silent way
I hear you in my mind
I feel the tingle of your soul
Sam, we're one of a kind

It never had been done before
But can it be undone?
Will you ever leap back home
Or will you always run?

Longer than forever
Faster than a dream
It's always been this way
Or that's the way it seems

Someday you will touch me
Someday you'll return
But 'til the day you do, my friend
Your fire will always burn

Yes, it's longer than forever
Yes, faster than a dream
But it won’t always be this way
No matter how it seems

Come home soon, Sam
