Watching Enterprise, and watching Quantum Leap, has really gotten The Rod thinking about Mr Bakula’s future.

All the fans hope that Scott will appear in this forever-touted Quantum Leap film, but, you must ask yourself:

Will he?

Anthony Edwards left ER because he didn’t want to be typecast. Now, he appears to be a movie star (Thunderbirds). Could the same be true for Scott Bakula? When The Rod approaches Hot Rodettes on the street, after the initial "Oh My God, it’s the Rod!!!" He asks them about Scott Bakula, they reply "Oh, the guy from Enterprise". It would seem that only a smaller number of people remember Scott for Quantum Leap. He has not suffered since the demise of QL.

Would he then, want to go back to Quantum Leap, back to being known as Dr Beckett for a small role in a TV film, when in all likelihood, with the Star Trek franchise he may even get some movie money, and sure as hell another 5 seasons of Enterprise.

Patrick Stewart, better known as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek: The Next Generation and more recently as Professor X of The X-Men, has progressed so well with Star Trek, that he now commands immense fortunes of money to even guest appear in anything, so high is his price, that Enterprise producers have all but ruled out having him do an appearance on the show.

Would Scott Bakula then appear on Quantum Leap? Would he expect more money due to his elevated public status?

The Rod mused over this for a while, and had to initially say, "Yes, he would want more money".

However, Dean Stockwell has long been a major force in the world of Quantum Leap, and as he is not progressing quite as well as Scott, would be available for Quantum Leap, and if he were to get a semi recurring or even a full time role (that’s the hope!!) then would he not be able to talk Bakula into the same?

All these questions, no answers!!
