I happened to catch this film over the weekend and highly recommend it. It's not a remake, prequel, sequel, adaptation, true story, etc. that has kept me from being interested in movies for so long. Without giving too much away, basically, it's a raw look at racism in the world today and focuses on many different characters of different ethnic backgrounds.

The movie begins by focusing on one of these different groups of characters at a time and eventually shows how the characters' situations are connected to each other in some way. I have to say that Crash is probably one of the best movies I've seen in a really long time. While you won't necessarily feel good after seeing the film (it's very raw and very deep), it's still excellent and worth the money. It's about the stupidity of ignorance and a story of redemption. I also noticed that Marina Sirtis from Star Trek: The Next Generation had a small part in it among many other actors.
