Yes, I saw that when for some weird reason I decided to go to the Startrek.com website (which I hadn't gone to in almost a year, if memory serves...)

He, indeed, will be greatly missed. I didn't really know his work so I'm afraid I don't have much else to say... Except this:

Omg!

That's the first I heard of him dying. He wrote some really great episodes of TNG plus Insurrection(the 9th Trek movie).

I just finished watching the Christmas episode of The Dead Zone and at the end, they dedicated it to Michael Piller.
