10-16-2002 RodetteVision First and foremost, I wanted to thank Brian for letting me join his wonderful website! Everyone give him a hand for all the awesome work that he’s done! YEAH!The purpose of this column is to give a woman’s perspective on Quantum Leap! The Rod has done an excellent job on his part from the get go and as I saw it… we needed a woman’s perspective as well! So…… I’m not trying to take away from The Rod… no… never! I’m adding to him. Keeping him up on his tootsies! (Makes the butt firmer! – and you NEVER know who’s looking!)
Rod: (1) In almost every scene, cheerleaders would be a definite ratings boost. Well, honey, cheerleaders would do it too, but what about more of them sexy, firm, football players in those tight pants… or better yet… strippers! I know a number of women (all Quantum Leapers) who would love to see Sam strip into his skivvies! Hmmmmm hmmmm mmmm! To quote Al Calavicci: YUMOLA! Rod: (2) In almost every scene, bikini clad (or less ;-) )women would differentiate this. Hey Sarah Michelle Gellar, why don't you sign up!! ;-) Bikini clad… yup… those teeny tiny little suits for the guys are just as good! We need more of them too! Rod: (3) Lots of car chases with 'classic' muscle or sports cars, well it worked for "The Dukes of Hazzard" & :Knight Rider" That’s true. It sure did! The Dukes had it goin’ on too! So did Knight Rider, certain people on CHiPs, BJ and the Bear, Air Wolf, Blue Thunder, Knots Landing, Dallas, TJ Hooker, Highlander (oh… that’s new isn’t it?) … shall I go on? Tight pants and wooohooo… cute handsome men! Works for me! YEEEHAW! Rod: (4) Lots of explosions, some aerial battles perhaps? Okay… explosions are good… you get to see the handsome one (hopefully Scott) bending over to set it! ;0) Rod: (5) A GOOD storyline, well THAT worked well for the original Quantum Leap. AMEN, Preach it Rod! You have to have a good storyline or you might as well just chunk it and pray that Don have a spit fit over it!
But in all seriousness here: The new Quantum Leap (as we all know) won’t be as good as the original. Who could make us laugh like Scott in a dress, or Dean saying that he’s not into necrophilia (praise God). Who could make us feel a raped person’s pain? Who could make us feel the friendship that continues to save lives over and over and over again? The only way that it could be is if Scott and Dean were back in it again. I don’t know about all of you other Quantum Leap fanatics, but I need my fix! I
have to have it! I need to see that wrong corrected. Every time I watch an episode, which
I have all of them on tape… I always smile; I always laugh… and I always feel
emotionally fulfilled. There aren’t shows out on Television now that can make a
person feel that way!
