Rodvision

Quantum T&A

The Rod would like to open RodVision this week with a very interesting debate.

Is there room in Sci Fi TV for T&A?

Many people argue that shows such as Enterprise are being ruined by female semi-nudity. Some have even said these shows would benefit from focusing more on story lines and less on T&A.

Cast your minds back to Knight Rider. KITT's mechanics, the ever lovely Bonnie & April.

The original series of Star Trek always seemed to have Captain Kirk meeting strange beautiful women; Lt Uhura was also an attractive woman, wearing a very short Miniskirt.

Star Trek: The Next Generation had Counsellor Troi, who up until the last 2 seasons always wore that revealing uniform.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine had the Dabo girls.

Star Trek: Voyager first had Kes, then Seven of Nine (again with a great uniform)

Star Trek: Enterprise has SubCommander T'Pol and Hoshi. (Love her outfit too!!!)

What about Star Wars?? Princess Leia had a great outfit in "a New Hope", and lets not forget her infamous gold bikini in "Return of The Jedi".

Lexx always seemed to be showing PLENTY more T&A than anybody else. Quantum Leap didn't really show female T&A, but Sam ALWAYS seemed to be taking off his shirt. Plenty of Hot Rodettes mention this frequently!

It is The Rod's opinion that Sci Fi and T&A belong together. Perhaps its because the writers are not confident in their storylines, with Lexx this is obvious. Perhaps it’s to try and attract a wider audience than just the normal "Geeks".

As far as The Rod is concerned, Roll on the T&A!!!

;-)

Another Quantum Possibility

The Rod's good buddy Dan Goff, has yet another interesting idea for QL's continuation.

Thanks Dan:

"

I was just thinking that perhaps a neat way to investigate Al's Place is to look at it from another angle. We've seen it from Sam's perspective, but it would be interesting to work the story from more of an historical angle. A strange disappearance of Dr. Sam Beckett is legendary, propelling Sam Beckett to an almost mythical stance in science history.

Students of the future look back on the initial Quantum Leap. Fascinated by the early days of Quantum Leaping. When the government covered it up, the Beckett family torn by the lies and misconception of Sam Beckett's true existence and whereabouts. Perhaps, the new series can start with the Beckett family struggles of Sam's whereabouts and then segue far into the future...where the Becketts still prosper as teachers and scientists.

"

With this in mind, The Rod had His own idea spring to mind:

Project Quantum Leap: 30 years after Sam disappeared. It is now an educational institute, whilst studying, one of the students discovers Sam Beckett's presence (don’t ask The Rod how!!), the student, probably a female (for T&A purposes ;-) ) then modifies Ziggy's program so that the student can leap after Sam, and bring him home (Again, don’t ask The Rod how!!). The ensuing chase could be the basis of a new series.

Step up Mr Belliario, its YOUR turn.....

Should you wish to email The Rod about this article or ANY QL related matter, or even if you Rodettes out there just want to send Him fan mail/pictures. You can do so by contacting Him at therod@quantumleap-alsplace.com

Keep Leaping Sam; maybe one day YOU can be The Rod.
