Quantum Leaping….When???

Nobody needs The Rod to tell them that Quantum Leap occurred in Sam Becketts past. Rumour has it, that DPB actually intended the final season of QL (kept from us by the Nozokies) to be set in the future.

As The Rod has previously pointed out, He does not believe that the story could be nor should be the same as with Sam Beckett. Now is the time for the leap to go FORWARD. As The Rod has previously documented, there are a few reasons for this to be so:

• A younger leaper has less life span to leap through
• An older leaper may not be "attractive enough" to tune in to
• Soundtrack won't be as good for a younger leaper
• Todays TV is full of futuristic gadgets and gizmos, its what people like to see

However, there are also a few reasons why the leap should stay in the past: 

• Nostalgia, people love to hear the music of the time, and see objects from that time period i.e. cars, household gadgets etc
• Sexual discrimination makes for great comedy with Al
• Gripping storylines such as Lee Harvey Oswald, Marylyn etc

Quantum Leap…….According To The Rod

 Perhaps the most likely storyline for Quantum Leap’s new film to begin with should involve Project Quantum Leap having been shut down for some time, due to its founder having vanished, funding would have been cut off.

A young physicist, obsessed with tales of Project Quantum Leap, and the mysterious and often rumoured disappearance of Dr Sam Beckett would come up with a theory, a theory on how to reactivate PQL, and hopefully locate Dr Beckett, will pester Al Calavicci to come out of retirement and help him locate his best friend.

Of course, the committees involved will dismiss the pair, so Al will more than likely have to break into PQL to restart Ziggy.

The Rod isn’t exactly very good at telling stories, but, even He is eager to see what happens next…..

Quantum Bad Guys….Updated

The Rod had some GREAT ideas for the bad guys of the New Quantum Leap.

Enterprise has the Suliban, Buffy has Vampires, the new Quantum Leaper can have….The Scourge of The Evil RodKini Babes!!!

Think about it, they could be corrupting the fabric of Time/Space with different methods every time. One week you could see them engaging in an evil game of Beach volleyball, the next time you see them they could be sun bathing.
