Off Air

The Rod couldnt help but notice that the Sci Fi channel have stopped airing Quantum Leap.  The Rod understands that this is also the case for all of the leapers in the UK as UK Gold have just finished airing QL all the way through.

Isnt it coincidental, that QL should stop being aired, just after the announcement of a DVD series of QL being released?

The Rod thinks not.

Preparation QL

The Rod believes this is a deliberate ploy by Sci Fi to accomplish at least 2 objectives:

(1)  Cut off the supply of QL on terrestrial and satellite television, in order that when the DVD's are launched, people will buy them as QL is no longer on air, making millions of dollars for Universal in sales.

(2)  Once the DVD's are in mainstream supply, anticipation will heighten for the new film and series, thus expanding the fan base for QL's rebirth.

The Rod has affectionately termed Sci Fi's grand scheme "Preparation QL"

And some people (Your hero The Rod included!) have accused studio
executives and the people behind the scenes at Universal as "stupid" as well. 
Well, The Rod tips His hat to the scheming boys and girls in power for this remarkable act of intelligence.

World Domination?

Of course after reviving Quantum  Leap, one wishes to know what Sci Fi will do next.

The Rod thinks they will attempt world domination.  See how Universal (For Godsakes, even look at their name!!!!) have a Sci Fi channel in all the major countries!

In The humble opinion of the writer, it wont be long before we see Daleks hunting us down if Universal get their way.......

Of course, The Rod just might be wrong.
