The chat was predominantly on the topic of the second season of Star Trek: Enterprise. Most of the questions posted were geared towards that. However, a leaper managed to get a question to Scott regarding the announced Sci Fi Channel filmed Movie/TV Series of Quantum Leap.

Scott_Bakula_Live says: That would not be something that would include me. That's a USA Channel thing, they own the rights to "Quantum Leap.

What did Scott mean by this comment? Have Sci Fi contacted him about appearing in this movie? Is he going to be in this new franchise at all?

Many leapers have taken his comments to mean he will not be in it. Who could blame them for thinking this. After all, it isnt as though news has been forthcoming about this.

Remember, Bonnie Hammer was asked about Bakula's involvment. Her reply: "You Never Know."

The Rod has emailed Sci Fi several times, asking if there are ANY developments at all. Guess what?? Yup no reply.

If this film is indeed scheduled for a 2003 release, surely they would have some more news. Preliminary casting at least? Preliminary details on plot?? There should at least be an update of sorts.

Take a look at ANY Hollywood blockbuster. They are announced at least a couple of years before release. Casting or plot information NEVER hard to find.

However, as usual, Quantum Leap is suffering. Sci Fi have been very good in their decision to resurrect The Leap. Now, they leave us high and dry without any information.
