Synopsis | ||||||||||||||
A fan's
companion to the popular television series provides definitions for
Quantum Leap terms, a complete episode description guide, a mini bio of
Sam Beckett, Al Calavicci's life story, and a history of Ziggy. Summary & review by Dermot Devlin of the former quantumleaping.com: This is truly the most impressive Quantum Leap information book that I have ever read. I have always prided in myself that I knew almost everything that there was to know about Quantum Leap, but this book proved me wrong. There is tons of stuff here in this book that I did not know about. Everything you ever wanted to know about Quantum Leap is contained within this book and everything that you didn't realise that you wanted to know is also contained in this book! It took me only two nights to complete this book. It holds lots on information, such as that was the frequency of WOP the radio station Sam worked on in the leap Good Morning Peoria. This book is very well laid out and is easy to navigate. You will have no problem locating the information you request in this book. It is all laid out in an alphabetical format. Plus there are two leap references in this book, one in chronically order and one in episode running order. The episode running order also contains a short summary of what each of the leaps where about. There are only two faults that I could find in this book, and they are so small, they're hardly worth saying. They are : The cover of this book says it is 'The only book to contain a guide to every episode ever made'. This is untrue. The book The Quantum Leap Book also contains a guide to all the episodes made and it also was published before this one. It states on the back cover that the books contains pictures from the series to illustrate key moments in the series. Well I have two points to make about this. They are : 1) Most of the pictures are not from key moments from the series 2) Although the picture were a nice addition to the book, the book was strong to do with the pictures In conclusion, I feel this is a must have for any true Quantum Leap fans who can get their hands on the book. It is a great reference for any information that you are looking for about Quantum Leap and you can also impress your other Quantum Leap fan friends at the depth of your knowledge in the show. |
