Sunday 14.9 million Tuesday 8.5 million Wednesday 10.1 million Friday 9.8 million When the broadcast day changed there was generally a noticeable impact. The Color of Truth was the first episode broadcast on a Wednesday and saw an increase of 3.8m on the previous week. The Leap Home was the first first-run episode broadcast back in the Friday slot from early season one (although some repeats had already been tested on Fridays) and was 2.6m down on the audience for M.I.A. When 8½ Months moved back to Wednesdays, an immediate upturn of 3.5m was visible. Lee Harvey Oswald then switched to a Tuesday, dropping 0.9m from the audience for A Leap for Lisa. Additionally, Star-Crossed had lost 4.8m after moving from Friday to Sunday, but there is always a downturn after a pilot as an initially intrigued audience may choose not to stick with the show long term. Similarly, the increased rating of 6.6m from Memphis Melody to Mirror Image is most likely attributable to Mirror Image being the series finale, rather than the day change from Tuesdays back to Wednesdays. |
